EvenUS is an app for two people who live together. It compares how money, time and household work are shared between you, and suggests one thing to try each week.
The short version
Who we are
EvenUS, C-1604, Assotech Blith, Sector 99, Gurgaon, Haryana, India. Contact: support@evenus.app.
For UK/EU purposes, EvenUS is the data controller for the information described below.
What we collect, and why
You give us
Collected automatically
We do not collect
There is no third-party analytics or advertising SDK in this app.
What your partner can and cannot see
This deserves its own section, because it is the question most people actually have.
Every shared expense and bill, every chore and completion, your name, your working hours, your income share, your financial obligations, the household's scores and history, and every change either of you makes to a setting that affects the score.
Your weekly check-in answers, your individual mental-load answers before you have both answered, your password, or your notification settings. If you turn on "hide my exact income" they see the resulting percentage and not the figure itself.
A notification telling one partner what the other did or didn't do. That notification does not exist in the app and there is no setting to turn it on.
Reminders
You can set a reminder on a shared chore, and either partner can set one on any chore. The notification goes only to the person who owns that chore, and it never says who set it. The owner can switch any reminder off, immediately, and we do not tell the person who set it. Reminders are scheduled on your own device and are not sent through our servers.
Legal basis (UK/EU)
Where your data is held
On Google Firebase (Firestore, Authentication, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions) in the United States, region us-central1.
If you are in the UK or EU, this is a transfer outside your jurisdiction. It is covered by Google's Standard Contractual Clauses; see Google's Cloud Privacy Notice.
How long we keep it
Deleting your account
In the app: Profile → Delete account. It takes effect immediately and does not need your partner's permission.
You can also request deletion by emailing support@evenus.app from your registered address. We will action it within 30 days. Web instructions: evenus.app/delete-account.
Your rights
Access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, and the right to withdraw consent. In the app you can already export all your data (Profile → Export) and delete your account. For anything else, email support@evenus.app.
You have the right to complain to your data protection authority. In the UK that is the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Children
EvenUS is for adults aged 18 and over. You may record details about children in your household (first name, birth date, living arrangements) because those change the household's workload and costs. Children do not have accounts and cannot use the app. We do not knowingly collect data directly from anyone under 18.
Payments
The app is currently free. If paid features are introduced, payment is handled by Apple or Google under their own terms. We never see or store your card details.
Cookies and this website
Everything above is about the app. This section is about evenus.app, the website you are reading.
The website uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read. It sets cookies in your browser and sends Google your IP address, the pages you view and general information about your device. We use it to understand which writing is useful, and for nothing else.
It is not connected to your EvenUS account, and it cannot be. The website has no way of knowing who you are, and nothing measured here reaches the app or your household's data.
If you would rather not be counted, browser settings that block third-party cookies or scripts will stop it, as will most ad blockers. Nothing on this site stops working if you do. There are no advertising cookies and no ad network of any kind.
Changes
If we change this policy materially we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
