Help with EvenUS

Getting in touch
Email support@evenus.app. One person reads it, usually within two working days.
Say which phone you are on and what you were doing when it went wrong. It saves a round trip.

The questions that come up most

EvenUS needs both of you. Until the second person joins, the household is there but most screens have only half the picture.

Open Us → Invite your partner and send the message again, or read out the eight-character code. If you saved their email, EvenUS also emails them an invite, which can land in spam. A code works for seven days; if it has run out, tap New code. Your partner needs to confirm their email (the link EvenUS sends them) before they can join. If they have already signed up on their own, they can choose Join with a code rather than creating a second household.

Whoever has less in theirs should leave it and join the other with the code: Us → Household → Your household → Leave household. If you are the only one in it, leaving deletes that household and everything recorded in it, so you are offered Export first. Nothing in the household you are joining is affected.

Reminders are set on a chore, not on a person, and they go only to whoever owns that chore. Check four things: the chore has an owner, the reminder is on, notifications are allowed for EvenUS in your phone's settings, and the owner has no time away added for today (reminders pause while someone is away).

Everything else in the app works normally without notification permission.

Add it under Us → Household → Away: tap Add time away and pick the first and last day on the calendar. Each of you adds only your own time away. A period can start up to 29 days ago and last up to a year.

While either of you is away, household work logged then is not compared, and the week is compared over the days you were both home. Expenses and bills carry on as usual.

Both sliders need to be moved before it can be sent: how fair the week felt, and how your week was overall. Neither shows a number. If you would rather not answer this week, choose Not now.

Because they are private. Both of you answer the weekly questions separately and neither of you sees the other's answers. They are a record for you alone and are not used in any score or weekly suggestion. Where the two of you see things differently comes from the separate who-keeps-track-of-what answers (Just me, Mostly me, Genuinely shared, Mostly or Just your partner), shown only once you have both finished.

That is the design, not a fault.

No. Neither of you can change or remove the other's entries. An app where you can correct each other's records becomes an argument with a database attached.

If something is genuinely wrong, the person who logged it can fix it. On the Effort tab you can tap a ticked chore again to undo your own entry.

Open Us → Household → Your household. The household's name and its time zone are both there, with Save name and Change time zone. Your weeks start at 00:00 on Monday in the household's time zone, and the Sunday summary and household reminders run on it. A new time zone takes over for both of you when the week you are in ends, and the screen shows the date it starts from; the week you are in stays as it is. The household's currency is set when the household is created and does not change.

Every household starts with a 7-day free week inside the app, with no card needed and nothing charged when it ends. It is once per person: changing partners or households never starts a new one.

After that, EvenUS Pro is $9.99 a month or $79.99 a year (the store shows the price in your currency), and one subscription covers both of you. If you subscribe during the free week, the free days end and billing starts that day. Without a subscription you can still read everything, add expenses, tick chores off, export your data and delete your account.

You get a notification, an email to your verified address and a card on This week and in Us. It names who left and never gives a reason. Everything you recorded together stays with you, and you can invite them back, invite someone new, or keep using EvenUS on your own.

The subscription stays with whoever bought it. If you pay, your plan continues, with a new partner too. If the person who left paid, you keep Pro until the period they had already paid for ends, or until someone new joins, whichever is first; then you choose a plan. Everything recorded stays readable and exportable either way. More on the When someone leaves page (evenus.app/features/when-someone-leaves/).

If someone new joins after a partner has left, the two of you start fresh in an empty household, and nothing from before is shared with them. Both of you are told this before anyone joins.

Your earlier household stays private to you, read-only, under Us → Previous household, where you can look back, export a copy or delete it for good. If the person who left comes back instead, nothing starts again. More on the Previous household page (evenus.app/features/previous-household/).

Us → Delete your account (at the bottom of the Us tab), or see the Deleting your account page. No household yet? Sign out and Delete account are also at the bottom of the welcome and setup screens, and of the “Check your email” screen. You do not need your partner's agreement and they are not asked to approve it.

If someone else is in the household, they are told once, by a notification, an email and a card in the app, with your name and no reason, and you get a short confirmation email. If you are the only one in the household, it is deleted with your account, so export a copy first if you might want it. Deleting your account does not cancel a store subscription. If you paid for it, your partner keeps Pro only until the period you had already paid for ends, or until someone new joins.

Reporting something that is wrong

If EvenUS has shown you something that reads as blame, or a suggestion that landed badly, please send it to support@evenus.app with a screenshot.

That is the failure this product cares most about and the reports are read individually.
